Brake rectifiers are indispensable when it comes to stopping electrical machines quickly and reliably for safety reasons. They are used in numerous industrial applications where precise and efficient braking of electric motors is required.

The primary function of a brake rectifier is to convert AC voltage into DC voltage. This DC voltage is used to power electromagnetic brakes, which activate or release the mechanical brakes of electric motors.

We offer brake rectifiers in two variants: half-wave rectifiers and bridge rectifiers. Thanks to their compact design, they are ideal for use with electric motors and can be directly integrated into the terminal box. Each type has specific characteristics:

  • Bridge rectifiers: Efficiency approximately 90%, meaning they provide a DC voltage that is about 90% of the supplied AC voltage.
  • Half-wave rectifiers: Efficiency approximately 45%, meaning the generated DC voltage is about 45% of the incoming AC voltage.

Due to their efficiency and flexibility, brake rectifiers are a key component for the safe operation of electric motors. Whether in manufacturing, logistics, or other automated systems, they ensure reliable braking performance and contribute to operational safety.
